Hokkaido is a water lover's playground. Whilst Niseko may be most renowned for its spring or summer rafting activities, the Shiribetsu River has much more potential for adventure. Why not consider an exciting activity such as canyoning, ducky, canoeing or bait fishing this green season?

1. NAC River SUP

NAC's Stand Up Paddle Tour is a family friendly activity, perfect for all abilities and ages. The tour cruises down a calm and scenic route of Japan's cleanest river, the Shiribetsu River.

Shiribetsu River (1 June – 31 October)
Start times: 9:30am or 1:30pm
Duration: 3.5 hours
Age restriction: 7+ years

Prices:

Adult (13+): ¥6,800 | Child (7-12): ¥4,600

2. NAC Kayak

A self paddling tour with spectacular natural scenery. Your guide will lead you down a calm and serene part of the Shiribetsu river. The kayaks used are very stable and easy to paddle. This tour is for all, and you can choose from tandems or single kayaks

Shiribetsu River (1 June – 31 October)
Start times: 9:30am or 1:30pm
Duration: 3.5 hours
Age restriction: 7+ years

Prices:

Adult (13+): ¥6,800 | Child (7-12): ¥4,600

3. NOC Canoeing Tour*****

The team at NOC have carefully selected some stunning courses along the Shiribetsu River, allowing for a fun day out on a canoe. This 5km course provides stunning views in a half day adventure.

Shiribetsu River (3 May – October 2023)
Start times: 8:45 am or 1:15 pm
Duration: 3 hours
Age restriction: 4+ years

Prices:

Adult (13+): ¥6,600 | Child (4–12): ¥4,950 *minimum 2 people needed

4. NOC Bait Fishing Tour*****

A fishing tour designed for beginners. Let your guide take you to their recommended spots on the Shiribetsu River or its tributaries, and try your luck at bait fishing. Catch and release only, all equipment is included.

Shiribetsu River (End of May – Mid October 2023)
Start times: 8:45 am or 1:15 pm
Duration: 2.5 hours
Age restriction: 9+ years (Shoe size from 22 cm to 28cm)

Prices:

Adult (9+): ¥4,180 *minimum 2 people needed

Things to note:

  • Meet at NOC or NAC Activities Desk at least 15 minutes before your tour start time
  • Pick up from accommodation can be arranged for NAC Tours
  • Minimum 2 people for tours to operate

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made on or before 15 days prior to the activity start date will incur no penalties except an administration fee.
  • Cancellations made on or within 14 days prior to the activity start date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  • By reserving guest services through MnK Niseko, you accept that cancellation and amendment fees may apply to any reservation irrespective if payment has been made. Please check with MnK Niseko about specific cancellation fees that may apply to your reservation.
