EdVenture Camp Mentor

As an EdVenture Camp team member you are a role model, friend, mentor and hero to campers aged 3-16 years old. Your responsibilities include overall supervision of your campers and ensuring their wellbeing and safety whilst they are enjoying the fun and rewarding experience of summer camp. You will be with your campers 5 days a week and on overnight camp, making sure all your campers are enjoying themselves. You are a role model and its important that you set a good example for campers in all areas, including cleanliness, punctuality, clean-up, rules, and sportsmanship.

EdVenture Niseko
EdVenture is an immersive, multi-activity camp experience based in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season, the week-long program connects children and young teenagers to new friends from around the world. Participants will learn new skills and tackle adventures with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yōtei and Mount Annupuri.

  • Ability to lead or assist in various recreational activities
  • Possesses a proactive attitude toward problem solving
  • Ability to communicate and work with people from a variety of ages and skills levels, including children and parents
  • The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team oriented atmosphere
  • Enthusiastic, patient and reliable
  • An interest in film and/or photography an advantage

Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience working with children or a related field. Teaching, coaching or camp counseling experience highly favorable.
  • Japanese resident or current holder of a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa or eligible to obtain a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa
  • Must possess a Japanese Driver's License or valid International Driving Permit according to the Geneva Convention of 1949
  • First aid qualifications or training an advantage
  • Provide an up to date criminal record background check from country of residence
  • Available to work from 8 June 2020 – 14 August 2020

Working Hours

Working days/hours will vary depending on business needs


¥4,800 for a half day and ¥9,600 for a full day
