EdVenture Media Manager/Camp Mentor

As an EdVenture Media Manager/Camp Mentor you are a role model, friend, mentor and hero to team members, campers and parents. Your responsibilities will include capturing daily moments of campers and families through film and photography. Producing a weekly “end of the week” movie ready to show at the campground every Thursday night and weekly edited photographs to share with parents. The role will require you to produce an end of summer 2020 wrap up promotional video to be used for marketing purposes.

EdVenture Niseko
EdVenture is an immersive, multi-activity camp experience based in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season, the week-long program connects children and young teenagers to new friends from around the world. Participants will learn new skills and tackle adventures with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yōtei and Mount Annupuri.

Key Responsibilities

  • Previous experience in a similar media role
  • Interest in film and photography
  • Previous experience working with children and young people
  • Lover of the outdoors and nature
  • Ability to lead or assist in various recreational activities
  • Possesses a proactive attitude towards problem solving
  • Ability to communicate and work with a variety of ages and skill levels from young children to adults and parents
  • The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Enthusiastic, patient and reliable

Selection Criteria

  • Can demonstrate experience working with children. Previous teaching, or camp counselling experience necessary
  • Japanese resident or current holder of a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa or eligible to obtain a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa
  • Must possess a Japanese Driver's License or valid International Driving Permit according to the Geneva Convention of 1949
  • Provide an up to date criminal record background check from country of residence
  • First aid qualifications or training an advantage
  • Available to work from 8 June 2020 – 17 August 2020

Working Hours

Working days/hours will vary depending on business needs


¥5,200 for a half day and ¥10,400 for a full day
