EdVenture Program Manager

As an EdVenture Program Manager, you are a role model, friend, mentor and hero to fellow team members, campers and parents. Your responsibilities will include staff management, program design and ensuring the smooth operation of weekly program throughout summer. You will work closely with senior management as well as camp mentors, junior mentors, campers and their parents.

EdVenture Niseko
EdVenture is an immersive, multi-activity camp experience based in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season, the week-long program connects children and young teenagers to new friends from around the world. Participants will learn new skills and tackle adventures with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yōtei and Mount Annupuri.

Key Responsibilities

  • Previous experience in a managerial role
  • Previous experience working with children and young people
  • Lover of the outdoors and nature
  • A desire to lead and manage all program activities
  • Possesses a proactive attitude towards problem solving
  • Ability to clearly communicate messages and recognise needs between senior management, mentor
    staff, junior mentors, campers and parents
  • The desire and ability to work in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Enthusiastic, patient and reliable

Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience working with children or a related field. Teaching, coaching or camp counseling experience highly favorable.
  • Japanese resident or current holder of a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa or eligible to obtain a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa
  • Must possess a Japanese Driver's License or valid International Driving Permit according to the Geneva Convention of 1949
  • First aid qualifications or training an advantage
  • Provide an up to date criminal record background check from country of residence
  • Available to work from 1 June 2020 – 17 August 2020

Working Hours

Working days/hours will vary depending on business needs


¥6,000 for a half day and ¥12,000 for a full day
