Everything You Need to Know About the Winter 2020/21 Season in Niseko

Winter is just around the corner! We have already begun to feel the drop in temperature, and as we write this blog post, snow has almost blanketed Mt. Yotei and Mt. Niseko-Annupuri from top to bottom.

Whilst this year's winter season may look a little different to previous years, the resort has announced that for the most part, things will run as normal. Here's everything you can expect for the season ahead. With a number of precautions in place, guests and locals will still be able to safely enjoy their resort experience. Please note that the below information is subject to change, based on weather and the evolving situation around COVID-19.

Grand Hirafu

• Grand Hirafu plans to open 5 December, 2020 and close 5 May, 2021
• Night skiing is scheduled to begin 19 December, 2020 and run until 7 March, 2021
• The Hirafu Village shuttle bus will not be running, however the Niseko United Shuttle will be in operation
• Lifts in operation will include: Ace Family Quad, Ace #2 Quad (Center Four), Holiday #1 Pair, King #3 Quad, King #4, Swinging Monkey and Hirafu Gondola. Night skiing lifts will include: Ace Family Quad, and Ace #2 Quad (Center Four).
• The number of people allowed together on lifts will be halved, with friends and family allowed to travel together

Hanazono

• Hanazono is expected to open 5 December, 2020 and close 11 April, 2021
• No night skiing will take place at Hanazono
• Regular guiding services, outdoor activities, cafes and Niseko Kids Club Hanazono will operate as usual when the ski resort opens

Niseko Village

• Niseko Village is due to open 1 December, 2010 and close 4 April, 2021
• Night skiing is scheduled to begin 19 December, 2020 and run until 7 March, 2021

Annupuri

• Annupuri is set to open 28 November, 2020 and close 5 May, 2021
• Night skiing is scheduled to begin 19 December, 2020 and run until 7 March, 2021
