Guest Services

English & or Japanese (Bilingual applicants preferred)

As a member of the Front Desk/Reception team, your role is to support the Guest Services Managers and provide direction to our Resort Services team. We are seeking hard-working staff who can go the extra mile for our guests while being organized and self-motivated to make sure all daily tasks are completed so that operations run smoothly. You will be working as part of the Guest Relations team to make sure our guests have an amazing holiday and our properties are correctly maintained. Teamwork within MnK is important to make the winter seasons run effectively, and so we are looking for individuals who have awesome teamwork skills to join us here in Niseko.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assign and delegate tasks to the Resort Services team
  • Provide support for the Guest Services Managers
  • Maintain the daily flow of tasks & checklists
  • Build rapport and trusting relationships with our guests and owners
  • Payment processing, answering calls, responding to emails, and all other in-house guest inquiries
  • Actively support the promotion and selling of MnK guest services
  • Problem-solving and dealing with guest complaints and issues as they arise
  • Driving guests when required
  • Organizing and performing accommodation checks before guests arrive and after the guest departs
  • Checking guests in and out of their accommodation/explaining how our properties and processes work etc.
  • Being an expert on all things Niseko and MnK related and providing guests with local information and recommendations

Key Qualities

  • Experience in a previous hospitality role preferred
  • Face-to-face customer service experience essential
  • Must be able to use your initiative and work well under pressure
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to help out your team/ our guests
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Japanese Working Holiday Visa or already have the legal right to work in Japan
  • Must have a Japanese driver's license or be able to obtain an International Driving Permit valid for Japan.
  • Applicants must be fluent in English and Japanese. (English/Japanese/Mandarin bilingual language ability is highly advantageous)

Working Hours

Up to 40 hours per week (part-time positions also available)

Remuneration

Starting at ¥1,500 to ¥1,700 per hour depending on experience and/or language ability
