EdVenture Niseko

Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.

EdVenture is an immersive camp experience in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season. The week-long programs connect children and young people to new friends from around the world, learning new skills, with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan

As a Summer Experiences Activity Leader, you'll embody good sportsmanship through enthusiastic, non-competitive participation and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading, assisting, and supervising outdoor activities
  • Prioritizing the safety and well-being of each participant in your care (Duty of Care).

Key Qualities

  • Previous experience in leading groups of a range of ages  through outdoor activities
  • Comfort with working outdoors in diverse weather conditions is essential
  • Previous experience in working with children in an outdoor education or educational-based setting
  • Must have or be eligible to obtain a Japanese Working Holiday Visa or already have the legal right to work in Japan
  • Hold a valid Japanese driver's license or be eligible to obtain an International Driving Permit
  • Able to provide an up-to-date criminal record background check from the country of residence should asked to provide
  • First aid training is advantageous
  • Passion for the outdoors and nature
  • Proactive attitude towards problem-solving
  • Effective communication and collaboration with a variety of ages and skill levels, from young children to teens
  • Desire and ability to thrive in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
  • Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable
  • Interest in film and/or photography is an advantage

Working Hours

Depending on customer demand and reservations, working hours can range anywhere from 8 to 40 hours per week, including weekends. You will have at least one full day off each week. (6-8 Hours per day, up to 6 days per week)

Remuneration

¥1,700 per hour

Employment Period

Mid-June until late August with the possibility of extension till the end of September.
