Junior Guest Experience Leader at EdVenture Niseko
EdVenture Niseko
EdVenture is an immersive camp experience in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. Designed to help families make the most of Hokkaido’s incredible green season. The week-long programs connect children and young people to new friends from around the world, learning new skills, with their family members in innovative ways. The camp takes full advantage of its location nestled between the iconic Mount Yotei and Mount Annupuri in Niseko, Hokkaido, Japan. As an EdVenture Guest Experience Junior Leader, you'll be a crucial part of our team, embodying the roles of mentor, leader, and friend to our staff, campers, and parents. Your responsibilities will include leading young guest experience staff, designing programs, and ensuring the smooth operation of all EdVenture activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome and prepare guests for activities, ensuring exceptional customer experience
- Lead day-to-day operations of all programs, serving as the primary facilitator for year-round activities
- Assist with teaching across various guest services, maintaining a seamless guest experience
- Collaborate with management on program and curriculum development for continuous
improvement - Assist with training and team-building activities for seasonal staff
- Undertake additional duties as assigned by management
Key Qualities
- Passion for working with children, and parents, and being part of a collaborative team
- Previous teaching or camp counselling experience preferred
- Valid working holiday visa, Japanese citizenship, or eligibility for sponsorship visa
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Japanese or Mandarin advantageous
- Comfort working outdoors in diverse weather conditions
- Must have or be able to obtain a Japanese Driver’s License or International Drivers Permit (IDP)
- Snow Sports (ski or snowboard) instructor qualification advantageous
- First aid qualifications beneficial
Working Hours
40 hours per week
Remuneration
Starting at ¥250,000 - ¥325,000 per month depending on experience and/or language ability
