EdVenture Niseko Summer Camp Mentor – Expression of Interest Only

Proficiency in English is required; Japanese or other language skills are a plus.
As a summer camp mentor, you play the roles of a role model, friend, mentor, and hero to campers. Setting a positive example in areas such as cleanliness, punctuality, rules, and sportsmanship is integral to your role. This is an expression of interest listing. We are not currently hiring for this position, but we welcome submissions from interested candidates.

- Bring your own unique skills to the table to plan and run sessions that spark curiosity and learning.
- Foster an inclusive environment where every child feels like part of the group.
- Help the team with daily setup, pack-down, and housekeeping to keep our operations running smoothly.
Key Qualities
- Previous experience in working with children in an outdoor education or educational-based setting.
- Hold a valid Japanese driver's license or be eligible to obtain an International Driving Permit.
- Passion for the outdoors and nature.
- Ability to lead or assist in various recreational activities.
- Proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
- Effective communication and collaboration with a variety of ages and skill levels, from young children to teens.
- Desire and ability to thrive in a cooperative, team-oriented atmosphere
- Enthusiastic, patient, and reliable.
- Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.
- Able to provide an up-to-date criminal record background check from the country of residence.
- First aid and CPR certification preferred.
- Interest in film and/or photography is an advantage.
Working Hours
Hours range from 8 to 40 per week, with shifts of 6–8 hours per day. Schedules run up to 6 days per week, with one full day off guaranteed.
Remuneration
¥1,500 – ¥1,700 per hour, determined based on qualifications and experience.
