Resort Facilities & Snow Clearing

We’re seeking a motivated individual to assist with rubbish collection, snow clearing, and general facilities management at our accommodation resorts. If you are fit and healthy, enjoy working outdoors, and can handle labor-intensive, cold/snowy conditions, we want to hear from you. Our facilities team will be responsible for the rubbish collection at our resorts, ensuring safety and accessibility for guests, owners, and staff. Candidates should have a background in manual labor or sports, be safety-minded, and be unafraid of hard work in the elements.
Proficiency in English is required; additional language skills such as Japanese or other languages are a plus.

MnK is a distinctive and growing company specialising in resort accommodation management in the beautiful Niseko, Hokkaido. Our amazing locations in the ski resort of Niseko-Annupuri are the perfect place for holidays and outdoor activities. We provide property management and hospitality management to our 3 locations; Akazora, The Chalets at Country Resort and The Orchards Niseko.  We want to ensure all owners and guests have the most enjoyable and comfortable time with us, and we try to personalise our service to ensure all guests feel welcome and at ease while enjoying their winter escape. During the winter months, we are at our busiest and rely on hiring an incredible crew of winter staff to expand our team and help run our operations through these busy months.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manual, hands-on work all day, every day. Not for the faint of heart
  • Collect garbage from storage areas across resort properties and transport it to the central collection point
  • Drive a small truck or kei truck within MnK resorts
  • Maintain daily snow-clearing operations and report any hazardous snow conditions
  • Manually clear snow from entrances, vehicles, chalets, balconies, and storage areas
  • Operate snow-clearing equipment, including snow blowers and light vehicles
  • Support other teams during busy periods, including driving, chalet checks, and basic maintenance tasks
Selection Criteria
  • Experience in a previous manual labor role preferred 
  • Used to hard work and working in extreme weather conditions
  • Mature-minded and having a sense of safety 
  • A willingness to go the extra mile to help out your team/guests, and owners
  • Comfortable with prolonged physical work
  • Must have a valid Japanese Working Holiday Visa or legal right to work in Japan
  • Must have or be able to obtain an International Driving Permit
  • Experience driving trucks or using heavy machinery is preferred, but not necessary

Employment Period
December 2026 - February 2027 (Contract extension possible pending performance and snow conditions)
Probationary Period
1 month
Working Hours
Scheduled for 5 days per week, with 30–40 hours per week across 6–8 hour shifts.
Remuneration
¥1,500 - ¥1,700 per hour depending on qualifications and experience
