Resort Services

Working in the Resort Services team, you will primarily look after the condition and presentation of all our accommodation properties and provide shuttle services to and from their accommodation and Hirafu for our guests and owners. Your responsibilities will include conducting property inspections before and after guest reservations, clearing snow from property entrances, providing linen exchange and rubbish removal when required, and reporting damages and maintenance requirements. We are seeking hardworking staff who go the extra mile for our guests, are organized and self-motivated, and ensure all daily tasks are completed to keep operations running smoothly. You will be working as part of the Guest Services team to ensure our Guests have an amazing holiday and that our properties are properly maintained. Teamwork within MnK is important to make the winter seasons run effectively, and so we are looking for individuals with awesome teamwork skills to join us here in Niseko.

Native-level English required. Japanese or Chinese language ability is highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

Organizing and performing accommodation inspections before guests arrive and after the guests depart
Providing shuttle service from guest accommodation to and from Hirafu
Conducting check-in services in the guest chalet/room
Being an expert on all things MnK and Niseko to offer recommendations and assistance with tour and activity bookings.
Managing inventory levels and replacing stock items when required
Conducting damage checks
Snow clearing guest entranceways, driveways, balconies, and storage areas.
Replacing linen and removing rubbish from properties when required
Supporting the Front Desk team and site manager
Supporting other teams during busy times
Other ad hoc tasks during quiet times
Light housekeeping

Selection Criteria

Previous experience in a hospitality/housekeeping/maintenance role
Good time management skills
Must be able to use your initiative and work well under pressure
A willingness to go the extra mile to help out your team/ our guests
Comfortable with physical work and up for a lot of snow clearing!
Must have or be eligible to obtain a Japanese Working Holiday Visa, or already have the legal right to work in Japan
Must have a Japanese driver’s license or be able to obtain an International Driving Permit valid for Japan.
Applicants must be fluent in English (English/Japanese/Mandarin bilingual language ability is highly advantageous)
A desire to experience a ski/snowboard season in a bustling mountain town

Employment Period

Working Hours

It depends on customer demand and snow conditions, but on average, you can expect to work 36-40 hours a week. (6-8 Hours per day, 5 days per week)

Remuneration

¥1,500 - ¥1,700 per hour depending on experience and language ability.
