Snowsports Instructor, Elevate

To work in the Powder Capital of the world for an established private snow sports school with clients from all over the world. Our private lessons are tailored to each guest’s individual needs and learning goals. We select the most appropriate part of the mountain for our guests based on ability, learning aspirations, weather and crowds and make sure they get the most out of every minute on the hill.

About the Company

Elevate Snowsports is one of Niseko's newest ski/snowboard schools, launched after we noticed a demand for private lessons outside of our popular winter kid's camp. Our private lessons are tailored to each adult's and child's individual needs and learning goals. We select the most appropriate part of the mountain for our guests based on ability, learning aspirations, weather and crowds and make sure they get the most out of every minute on the hill. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing lessons in a safe and secure manner/environment.
  • Ability to independently plan ski or snowboard lessons.
  • Create a positive rapport with clients.
  • Promote a positive image of the school and yourself at all times
  • Be prepared to teach a wide variety of lessons to all types of clients.
  • Picking up and dropping off clients from/to their accommodation
Selection Criteria
  • Snowsports instructor qualification.
  • Valid snow sport instructor license for duration of contract
  • First aid qualifications an advantage, but not essential.
  • Must hold a valid working holiday visa for Japan or be a Japanese citizen.
  • Fluency in English. Basic Mandarin or Japanese an advantage.
  • Must obtain an International Driving Permit (valid for duration of contract) or valid Japanese driver’s license.

Employment Period
Early December until end of February (with a chance to extend)
Probationary Period
Working Hours
Up to 6 days a week / Maximum 8 hours a day but please note hours will vary depending on business needs
Remuneration
Starting from ¥1,500/hour and increasing based upon qualification and experience.
