MnK Experiences Snowshoe Tours

Our popular snowshoe tour offers a unique way to explore some of the most breathtaking scenic vantage points and serene snow forests in Niseko. Choose from stunning routes depending on your group's size and abilities. As a family friendly activity, trails are suitable for children and grandparents alike. First timers can rest assured, as your guide will help you every step of the way, from putting on your snowshoes to learning how to walk in them. Each tour is inclusive of transfers, snowshoes and light refreshments. Add on our newest MnK Photography Moments package for our in-house photographer to join in on your snowshoe tour.
What to wear: Ski/Snowboard clothing is advised. Waterproof ski/snowboard pants and jacket, fleece and under layers advised (you can always remove layers if you get too hot!). A good pair of winter boots/shoes (we have some we can lend, but numbers/sizes are limited). Gloves, winter hat, googles
What to bring: A small backpack to carry a personal water bottle is recommended.

Lake Hangetsu (Half Moon Lake)

Venture away from the ski resort for an unforgettable journey at the base of Mt. Yotei. Begin with a scenic ascent to the crater's edge, revealing stunning vistas of the crater lake and possibly the peak of Mt. Yotei (weather permitting). Explore options to traverse the ridge line or descend to the lake itself on this trail. Ideal for adventurous families and experienced snowshoers seeking to explore beyond resort boundaries.

Age requirements: 5 years and older

Kabayama Ridge Line

Enjoy a picturesque journey starting from The Orchards Clubhouse, tracing the ridge line overlooking Country Resort with breathtaking views of Mt. Yotei (weather permitting). Along the way, enjoy highlights like a serene hot chocolate break amidst the scenery. This trail offers a relatively flat terrain, perfect for young families and beginners, promising memorable photo opportunities with Mt. Yotei as the backdrop.

Age requirements:
7 years and older

Asahigaoka Ski Hill

A winter adventure just a short drive from the ski resort to Kutchan, home of the local ski hill, Asahigaoka. Traverse through the forest to the ski field's summit, offering panoramic views of Mt. Yotei and Kutchan town (weather permitting). With multiple trail options of varying difficulty, this journey is perfect for adventurous families and experienced snowshoers seeking new perspectives beyond Grand Hirafu.

Start times: 9:30am | 1:30pm
Age requirements: 8 years and older

*Above age requirements are recommendation, younger kids can enroll, however please note that there may be parent end up carrying the kids if they get too tired, or we cannot complete the entire course. (No refund available)

Cancellation Policy

  • Cancellations made on or before 15 days prior to the activity start date will incur no penalties except an administration fee.
  • Cancellations made on or within 14 days prior to the activity start date will incur a 100% cancellation fee.
  • By reserving guest services through MnK Niseko, you accept that cancellation and amendment fees may apply to any reservation, irrespective if payment has been made. Please check with MnK Niseko about specific cancellation fees that may apply to your reservation.
